Workshop Overview:
In today’s process-intensive industries, companies often struggle to implement Management of Change processes as a means to both minimize the effects of risks and encourage sound organizational decision-making. The average facility has hundreds of MOCs they process annually, and Process Safety compliance requires a focus on facility and technology change (i.e., equipment and procedure changes).

However, many companies are facing significant challenges from a loss of workforce experience due to high industry turnover and lower commodity prices on energy. More than ever, these organizations must focus on balancing risk with cost. To meet this new challenge, companies will need to evolve to effectively manage Organizational and Personnel Change as a part of a holistic, integrated approach to MOC. In this workshop, we’ll explore why effective MOC is a foundational element for Intelligent Operations.

This workshop will focus on the latest best practices for addressing MOC, along with meeting the challenge of creating effective processes that are automated to reduce risk and enhance efficiency. We will end with a roundtable discussion regarding common MOC challenges and solutions for operating companies.

Key Workshop Focus:

  • The business case for change
  • Roundtable discussion
  • What metrics are meaningful to an MOC program?
  • Mobility and its implications to MOC/PSSR
  • MOC Day-In-the-Life-Of (DILO) exercise
  • Reinvigorate or initiate MOC into your culture
  • Incorporating personnel and/or organizational change into your PSM/RMP program
